Amendment #844 to H3600

Alcoholic beverage manufacturer pouring licenses

Representatives Ferguson of Holden and Zlotnik of Gardner move to amend the bill by adding the following sections:

"SECTION  X. Section 19 of chapter 138 of the General Laws as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition is hereby amended by inserting, in line 1, before the words “The Commission”, the following:- (a).

SECTION XX. Said section 19 of said chapter 138 as so appearing is hereby further amended by inserting at the end thereof, the following subsection:-

(b) Notwithstanding section 17, a local licensing authority, subject to the approval of the commission, may grant a license to sell alcoholic beverages for consumption on the brewery premises to a manufacturer authorized to manufacture alcoholic beverages pursuant to this section; provided, however, that such licensees may sell for on-premises consumption alcoholic beverages produced by the manufacturer or produced for the manufacturer and sold under the manufacturer’s brand name."
