Amendment #845 to H3600

International Institute of New England/Mental Health Services for Immigrants and Refugees

Representatives Khan of Newton, Balser of Newton, Cantwell of Marshfield, Hecht of Watertown, Heroux of Attleboro, Keefe of Worcester, Linsky of Natick, Livingstone of Boston, O'Day of West Boylston, Provost of Somerville, Smizik of Brookline, Tosado of Springfield, Vega of Holyoke, Walsh of Framingham and Williams of Springfield move to amend the bill in section 2, in item 5046-0000, in line 19, by inserting after “services” the following: “; and provided further, that not less than $250,000 shall be expended to the International Institute of New England for culturally and linguistically appropriate mental health services for immigrants and refugees who have experienced torture and trauma”; and in said item by striking out the figures “$388,130,579” and inserting in place thereof the figures “$388,380,579”.
