Prevailing Wage Law Exemption for Small Municipal Projects

Representatives Lyons of Andover, O'Connell of Taunton and Lombardo of Billerica move to amend the bill by adding the following new outside sections:--

"SECTION XXXX. Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, the cities and towns of the Commonwealth, by a vote of the town, shall be able to exempt themselves from sections 26 through 27G of chapter 149 of the General Laws for projects estimated to cost $50,000 or less."

SECTION XXXXX. This act shall take effect upon its passage."
