Listing Alternative Programs in Section 4 of Chapter 71A

Representatives Cabral of New Bedford, Atkins of Concord and DuBois of Brockton move to amend the bill SECTION 1. In section 7 by inserting after the comma, in line 38, the following words: “ English Language Development (ELD), dual language education, transitional bilingual education, ”; and striking out, in line 39, the words “an” and inserting in place thereof the following words: “any”.

SECTION 2. Inserting after section 25 the following section:- “SECTION XX. Section 4 of chapter 71A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 7, the words ‘not normally intended to exceed one school year’”.
