_______________
An Act designating a certain bridge in the city of Haverhill as the U.S. Navy Petty Officer Caitlin E. Trask - Veterans of the War on Terror Memorial Bridge.
Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to designate forthwith a certain bridge in the city of Haverhill, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Bridge number H-12-057 (2RR) and bridge number H-12-057 (2RT) on state connector route 125 in the city of Haverhill shall be designated and known as the U.S. Navy Petty Officer Caitlin E. Trask – Veterans of the War on Terror Memorial Bridge, in honor and recognition of U.S. Navy Petty Officer Caitlin E. Trask who served as an IT Specialist on the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower and lost her life in February of 2009. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain suitable markers bearing the designation in compliance with the standards of the department.
