Floor Amendment

Mr. Speliotis of Danvers moves to amend the bill in lines 3 and 4, by striking out the words “Memorial Band Stand in memory of Harry G. Uhlman, Jr. who had helped the mentally and physically disabled” and inserting in place thereof the words “Band Stand, in honor of Harry G. Uhlman, Jr., who has helped mentally and physically disabled persons”; by inserting before the enacting clause the following emergency preamble:-

“Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to designate forthwith the Harry G. Uhlman, Jr. Band Stand in the South Boston section of the city of Boston, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.”; and by striking out the title and inserting in place thereof the following title:-

“An Act designating a band stand at the Marine Park in the South Boston section of the city of Boston as the Harry G. Uhlman, Jr. Band Stand.”.
