Alternative date for inauguration

Mr. Lewis moves to amend the bill in section 1, by striking out, in lines 13 and 14, the words “the city council may choose an alternate date to fall within the first 8 days of the year” and inserting in place thereof the following words:-  “, the oath required shall be administered on the first Tuesday of that year”.
