Amendment #1019 to H4400

Improving Transparency and Data

Representatives Carvalho of Boston, Dykema of Holliston, Lewis of Framingham, Keefe of Worcester, Decker of Cambridge, Matias of Lawrence and Hecht of Watertown move to amend the bill in section 2,  in item 0340-2100, in line 31, by striking after the words “not charged;” the word “and” and in line 35 by  inserting after “Laws”; the following: “(vi) referral to and/or use of diversion programming; (vii)  indictment as a youthful offender; (viii)  dismissal of indictment or dismissal of indictment in exchange for other action; and (ix)  prosecution in criminal court under M.G.L.A. ch. 119 § 74; provided further that data required in subsections (i) through (ix), inclusive, shall be disaggregated by age, race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, and offense by statute;”
