Equitable Distribution of Financial Aid Funding

Mr. Mahoney of Worcester moves to amend the bill in Section 2 in line item 7070-0065 by adding the following language: “provided further, that funds from this item shall be made available for the MassGrant program in amounts not less than $2 million more than the amounts made available in fiscal year 2018; provided further, that funds from this item shall be made available for the Massachusetts Gilbert Matching Student Grant Program in amounts not less than $2 million more than the amounts made available in fiscal year 2018; provided further, that funds from this item shall be made available for the Cash Grant Program in amounts not less than $2 million more than the amounts made available in fiscal year 2018”.
