DOC Fees Retained Revenue

Mr. Muradian of Grafton moves to amend the bill in section 2, in line item 8900-0050, by striking out the wording and inserting in place thereof the following wording:-

“For the department of correction; provided, that the department may expend not more than $8,600,000 in revenues collected from existing assessments and the state criminal alien assistance program; and provided further, that for the purpose of accommodating timing discrepancies between the receipt of retained revenues and related expenditures, the department may incur expenses and the comptroller may certify for payment amounts not to exceed the lower of this authorization or the most recent revenue estimate as reported in the state accounting system”.
