Jumpstart Early Education Program

Representatives O'Day of West Boylston, McMurtry of Dedham, Barber of Somerville, Carvalho of Boston, Cassidy of Brockton, Connolly of Cambridge, DiZoglio of Methuen, Donahue of Worcester, DuBois of Brockton, Dwyer of Woburn, Garballey of Arlington, Garlick of Needham, Gordon of Bedford, Khan of Newton, Lewis of Framingham, Matias of Lawrence, Moran of Lawrence, Rogers of Cambridge, Vargas of Haverhill and Walsh of Framingham move to amend the bill in section 2 in item 3000-4060, by adding the following "; provided further, that not less than $500,000 shall be expended to Jumpstart for Young Children, Inc. to provide support to evidence-based early childhood education programs that promote language, literacy, and social emotional skill development for preschool children from under resourced communities in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts".
