Amendment #1195 to H4400

For Naturally Occurring Retirement Communities

Representatives Smizik of Brookline, Khan of Newton, Gregoire of Marlborough, Linsky of Natick, Coppinger of Boston, Puppolo of Springfield, Decker of Cambridge, Walsh of Framingham, Gordon of Bedford, Dykema of Holliston, Hecht of Watertown, Tosado of Springfield, Muratore of Plymouth and Fernandes of Falmouth move to amend the bill in section 2, in item 9110-1660 by striking out the figure "$1,421,482" and inserting in place thereof the figures "$2,327,482"and by inserting after the words "for the elderly" the following:  "; provided, that not less than $856,000 shall be expended for providers of naturally occurring retirement communities with whom the department of elder affairs entered into service agreements in fiscal year 2018, at proportions of total available funding equal to those provided in fiscal year 2018, and provided further that not less than an additional $25,000 shall be expended on a naturally occurring retirement community focused on LGBT elders in the greater Boston area, and an additional $25,000 shall be a expended on a naturally occurring retirement community specifically targeting mental health support and services”.
