Massachusetts-Israel Economic Connection

Representatives Roy of Franklin, Murray of Milford, Benson of Lunenburg, Gentile of Sudbury, Gregoire of Marlborough, Muradian of Grafton, Donahue of Worcester, Garballey of Arlington, Howitt of Seekonk, McMurtry of Dedham, Linsky of Natick, Kafka of Stoughton, Gordon of Bedford, Puppolo of Springfield, Moran of Lawrence, Cahill of Lynn, Dykema of Holliston, Velis of Westfield, González of Springfield and Ashe of Longmeadow move to amend the bill in section 2 by inserting after item 7002-1512 the following item:

"7002-1513 Massachusetts-Israel Economic Connection

For the facilitation and support of the Massachusetts-Israel Economic Connection operated by the New England Israel Business Council to pursue economic collaboration between Israel and Massachusetts, including but not limited to entrepreneur engagement, mentoring and commercial business exchanges, coordinated marketing functions and investments, with a primary focus on life sciences; technology and emerging technologies; provided further that funds may be used to support trade missions of Israeli executives and entrepreneurs and other activities intended to promote business activities of Israeli companies in the Commonwealth; provided further that the New England Israel Business Council shall deliver to the house and senate committees on ways means and the Massachusetts Office of International Trade and Investment, not later than February 15, 2019 an evaluation of the Massachusetts Israel Economic Connection ………. $500,000"
