Amendment #1232 to H4400

Economic Empowerment Trust Fund Investment

Mr. Ultrino of Malden moves to amend the bill, by adding the following section:

"SECTION XX. Section 35QQ of chapter 10 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended in subparagraph (a) by striking the second sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:- The state treasurer shall administer the fund in consultation with the board of trustees established under subsection (b) and may invest monies in the fund in participation units in a combined investment fund pursuant to section 38A of chapter 29 so that funds can be credited with interest or investment earnings."
