Amendment #129 to H4400

Women's Fund of Western Massachusetts

Representatives Tosado of Springfield, González of Springfield, Puppolo of Springfield, Vega of Holyoke and Williams of Springfield move to amend the bill in section 2, in item 7002-0010, in line 7, by inserting after “agreements” the following:

“and provided further, that $75,000 be expended for the Women’s Fund of Western Massachusetts, Inc. to continue a pilot program in collaboration with the national Partnership for Young Women's Progress. The initiative is a dynamic collaboration of eight leading women's foundations committed to utilizing public-private funding and address core structural issues that keep a majority of the nation’s low-income young women from experiencing robust health, economic security, personal safety and the leadership opportunities that their gifts and strengths deserve.".
