Amendment #130 to H4400

Baystate Medical Center - EMPOWER PROGRAM

Representatives Tosado of Springfield, González of Springfield and Williams of Springfield move to amend the bill in section 2, in line item 4512-0200 by adding at the end the following: 

“and provided further that not less than $500,000 shall be made available to the Empowering Mothers for Positive Outcomes with Early Referral (EMPOWER) Program at Baystate Medical Center.  Said program shall enroll patients with opioid addictions and other substance abuse addictions in pregnancy in the EMPOWER program with the goal to reduce length of stay of addicted neonates and improve discharge rates to home with the mother.”
