Amendment #1313 to H4400

UMass Boston Centers and Institutes

Representatives Collins of Boston, Carvalho of Boston, Hunt of Boston, Chan of Quincy, Schmid of Westport, Honan of Boston, Gentile of Sudbury, Velis of Westfield, Wong of Saugus, Orrall of Lakeville, Decker of Cambridge, Connolly of Cambridge and Mom of Lowell move to amend the bill in section 2 in item 7100-0200, in line 9, by inserting after the word "maintenance;" the following:

“provided further, that funding for the William Joiner Institute for the Study of War and Social Consequences, the Institute for Asian American Studies, the William Monroe Trotter Institute for the Study of Black History and Culture, the Mauricio Gaston Institute for Latino Community Development and Public Policy, the Institute for New England Native American Studies and the Center for Women in Politics and Public Policy at UMass Boston shall be funded at not less than FY 2018 levels”; and in said item by striking out the figures "$518,667,080" and inserting in place thereof the figures "$520,752,280"
