Amendment #1328 to H4400
Residential Assistance for Families in Transition (RAFT)
Representatives Decker of Cambridge, Tosado of Springfield, González of Springfield, Linsky of Natick, Hecht of Watertown, DiZoglio of Methuen, Farley-Bouvier of Pittsfield, Vega of Holyoke, Higgins of Leominster, Lewis of Framingham, Goldstein-Rose of Amherst, Chan of Quincy, Rogers of Cambridge, Garlick of Needham, O'Day of West Boylston, Connolly of Cambridge, Galvin of Canton, Khan of Newton, Gentile of Sudbury, Keefe of Worcester, Garballey of Arlington, Ultrino of Malden, Pignatelli of Lenox and Collins of Boston move to amend the bill in section 2, item 7004-9316, in line 9, by inserting after the word “expenses;” the following:
“provided, for purposes of this line item, families shall include households of all sizes and configurations, including but not limited to families with children under the age of 21, elders, persons with disabilities, and unaccompanied youth;”;
and, in line 17, by inserting after the figures “7004-0101;” the following:
“provided further, not less than $3,000,000 shall be made available to eligible households without children under the age of 21;”;
and by striking out the figures “$17,000,000” and inserting in place thereof the figures “$18,500,000”.
