Representatives Garballey of Arlington, Rogers of Cambridge, McMurtry of Dedham, O'Day of West Boylston, Garry of Dracut, Muratore of Plymouth, Stanley of Waltham, Koczera of New Bedford, Ashe of Longmeadow, Orrall of Lakeville, Decker of Cambridge, Ultrino of Malden, Galvin of Canton and Keefe of Worcester move to amend the bill in section 2 by adding the following: “; and provided further, that MassHealth shall reimburse nursing facilities for up to 20 medical leave-of-absence days and up to 10 nonmedical leave-of-absence days; provided further, that medical leave-of-absence days shall include an observation stay in a hospital in excess of 24 hours; and provided further, that no nursing home may reassign a patient's bed during a leave of absence that is eligible for reimbursement under this item”.
