Putting Repeat Criminals Behind Bars

Mr. Frost of Auburn moves to amend the bill by adding the following two sections:

“SECTION XX.  Section 25 of chapter 279 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting, in line 13, after the words “section 13B ¾,” the following words:- “section 13D”.

SECTION XX.  Subsection (d) of section 25 of said chapter 279, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking clause (1), in lines 57 through 59, inclusive, and inserting in place thereof the following:-  “(1) the defendant shall be sentenced to life imprisonment for such third or subsequent offense;”
