Amendment #228 to H4400

An Amendment to Restore the 5% Sales Tax

Representatives Diehl of Whitman, O'Connell of Taunton, Boldyga of Southwick, Lyons of Andover, DeCoste of Norwell and Mirra of West Newbury move to amend the bill by adding the following 2 sections:

"SECTION XX. (a) Section 2 of Chapter 64H of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking “6.25 per cent” and replacing it with “5 per cent”.

SECTION XX (b) Section 2 of Chapter 64I of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking “6.25 per cent” and replacing it with “5 per cent”."
