Amendment #290 to H4400

Improving Data Sharing

Mr. Donato of Medford moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:

"SECTION XXXX.

Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the executive office of health and human services, in consultation with the Massachusetts eHealth Institute, shall work with the executive office of elder affairs, the department of revenue, and other state agencies, to improve the accuracy and integrity of data and to maximize information sharing, to the extent permissible under relevant privacy law, between the senior information management system and the Medicaid management information system operated by the executive office of elder affairs, other agencies within state government, electronic health records systems operated by health care providers, and member information systems operated by managed care organizations.
