Amendment #321 to H4400

Gifted and Talented Students

Ms. Balser of Newton moves to amend the bill in section 2, in line item 7010-0005, by adding the following:

“; provided further, that $50,000 shall be allocated by the department to study and report on a policy and practice review, along with a needs assessment, regarding education in the public schools of Massachusetts, of the children who are capable of achieving beyond the age-based grades, as well as those who are gifted, as defined under federal law," and in said item by striking out the figures “11,823,711” and inserting in place thereof the figures “11,873,711”.
