Representatives O'Connell of Taunton, Diehl of Whitman, DeCoste of Norwell and Lyons of Andover move to amend the bill by adding the following 2 sections:

“SECTION X. Section 7 of chapter 18B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following subsection:-

(p) The commissioner shall require social workers employed by the department and any employee who has unsupervised contact with children to complete a criminal offender record information investigation every 3 years.

SECTION Y. Nothing in section X shall be construed to interfere with or impede any collective bargaining agreement in effect on the effective date of this act.”
