Amendment #459 to H4400

Ensuring Contracting Parity for Critical Access MassHealth Specialty Providers

Mr. Michlewitz of Boston moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:

SECTION XX. Notwithstanding any other general or special law to the contrary, the secretary of health and human services shall ensure division of medical assistance payment provisions for managed care organization and accountable care partnership plan contracts applying to freestanding pediatric acute hospitals and specialty cancer acute hospitals shall apply to pediatric specialty units as defined within section 8A of MGL Chapter 118E.
