Amendment #550 to H4400

CORI Fee Waiver for Parents

Representatives Jones of North Reading, Hill of Ipswich, Poirier of North Attleborough, Gifford of Wareham, Frost of Auburn and Smola of Warren move to amend the bill by adding the following section:-

“SECTION X. Section 172A of chapter 6 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting, in line 9, after the second sentence, the following:-

No fee shall be assessed for a request made by a parent or legal guardian or legal custodian for the criminal record information of a childcare provider who has or may have direct contact with a child of such parent or a child under the care of such legal guardian or legal custodian.”
