Amendment #873 to H4400

Amending the Unemployment Insurance Law for Workers with Fluctuating Work Schedules

Representatives Gordon of Bedford, Garlick of Needham, Linsky of Natick, Murray of Milford, Poirier of North Attleborough, Rogers of Cambridge, Stanley of Waltham and Tosado of Springfield move to amend the bill by adding the following section:

"SECTION  XXXX.  Section 1(w) of chapter 151A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting, in line 344, after the word “quarter”, the following words:-  provided further, that if the individual has worked for 2 quarters and such deeming renders the individual ineligible for unemployment benefits, the amount shall be equal to one twenty-sixth of the total wages".
