Amendment #944 to H4400
Municipal Opioid Addiction Prevention Grants
Representatives Koczera of New Bedford, Cassidy of Brockton, D'Emilia of Bridgewater, Fernandes of Falmouth, Garry of Dracut, Gentile of Sudbury, Gifford of Wareham, McKenna of Webster, McMurtry of Dedham, Muratore of Plymouth, Murray of Milford, Rogers of Cambridge, Rogers of Norwood, Stanley of Waltham, Tosado of Springfield, Ultrino of Malden and Walsh of Framingham move to amend the bill in section 2, after item 4512-0200, in line 8, by inserting after “chapter 17” the following:
“; provided further, that not less than $500,000 shall be expended for competitive Municipal Opioid Addiction Prevention Grants to support community outreach initiatives which provide front-line services by contacting individuals with addiction disorders and providing access to treatment.”
