Amendment #993 to H4400

MUNICIPAL POLICE INSURANCE

Representatives Galvin of Canton, Ashe of Longmeadow, Cutler of Duxbury, Decker of Cambridge, Orrall of Lakeville, Rogers of Norwood, Ultrino of Malden and Whelan of Brewster move to amend the bill by adding the following section:

“SECTION XXXX. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, notwithstanding the provisions of chapter 32b of the General Laws or the provisions of 805 CMR 9.01 (3), the effective date of group insurance commission health coverage for municipal police officers shall begin on the first day of employment.”
