Demonstration project for peak shaving

Mr. Goldstein-Rose of Amherst moves to amend the bill in section 2 by inserting after “Nash road pond;” the following –

“provided further, that not less than $8,000,000 shall be expended to procure, deploy, and collect data from, an energy storage system to be installed at a public site within the four western counties of the Commonwealth, which shall buy electricity from the New England grid during hours of low consumption and sell electricity to the grid through the ISO-NE market during hours of peak consumption;”
