Amendment #108 to H4617

Clarifying Comparable Healthcare Coverage

Representatives Orrall of Lakeville, Poirier of North Attleborough, Crocker of Barnstable, Barrows of Mansfield, Gifford of Wareham, Muratore of Plymouth and O'Connell of Taunton move to amend the bill by adding the following new section:

"SECTION XXX.  Section 18 of Chapter 15A of the General Laws, as most recently amended by chapter 35 of the acts of 2013, is hereby further amended by inserting, after the words "providing comparable coverage", the following phrase: -

provided that such institution shall allow students to waive participation in its student health insurance program if the student can demonstrate current participation in an organization defined in 26 U.S.C. Sec. 5000A(d)(2)"
