Improving Notice Provisions for Out of Network Billing

Mr. Cassidy of Brockton moves to amend the bill by inserting prior to the word “At” in line 1467 the following words:- “Upon initial encounter with a patient,”

And moves to further amend by adding after the word “care.” in line 1469 the following words:- “when care is scheduled greater than 48 hours in advance of the rendering of care.”

And moves to further amend by adding after the word “services” in line 1404 the following words:- ““when the care is scheduled at least 24 greater than 48 hours in advance of the rendering of care.”
