Floor Amendment

Mr. Speliotis of Danvers moves to amend the bill in section 1, in lines 28 and 29, by striking out the words “at least one hundred seventy (170) days” and inserting in place thereof the words “within a reasonable period of time determined by the town clerk”, and in line 55 by striking out the words “on the date of the next town election” and inserting in place thereof the following: “within a reasonable period of time, but no earlier than 45 days from the town clerk’s certification of the petition”.
