Amendment #145 to H4714

Autonomous Vehicles Statute Change

Mr. Livingstone of Boston moves to amend the bill by inserting the following section:

"Section X. Section 63 of Chapter 23(a) of the Massachusetts General Laws as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting the following in line 23 after the word "affordable.":-

(v)upgrading traffic signals to light-emitting diode technology and intelligent transportation system applications, such as autonomous and connected vehicle-related technology, performing regional operations such as re-timing, developing special event plans and monitoring traffic signals and for maintaining and operating traffic signals."
