Amendment #19 to H4738

Designating the scope of ground based solar within a community

Mr. Durant of Spencer moves to amend the bill by inserting the following new section:

SECTION XX. Section 9B of Chapter 40A of the General Laws as appearing in the 2016 official edition, is hereby amended by inserting, after the word "restrictions." in line 8 the following sentence:-, "Zoning ordinances or by-laws may protect solar access by designating a minimum and/or maximum acreage, square foot, percentage, or other measurable means, of total aggregated ground based solar energy systems within a municipality."
