Amendment #13 to H4739

Non-Profit Energy Storage Incentives

Mr. Madaro of Boston moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:  SECTION X. in section 3 (c), by inserting after subsection (v) the following:

"(vi) benefits to M.G.L chapter 180 nonprofit corporations, including but not limited to food pantries, social service organizations, community health centers, and cultural centers."

and further, by adding the following section:

"SECTION XX. The department of energy resources shall develop a pilot incentive program to support the adoption of energy storage in M.G.L chapter 180 nonprofit corporations, including but not limited to food pantries, social service organizations, community health centers, and cultural centers. Such program shall use existing resources through utility and Clean Tech efficiency programs. The department shall publish draft regulations on the program not later than July 1, 2019."
