Floor Amendment

Mr. Speliotis of Danvers moves to amend the bill in section 2 by striking, in line 29, the words “referred to the officer” and inserting in place thereof the following:- referred to as “the officer”;

And moves to further amend the bill in said section 2, in line 41, by striking the words “When the office of officer is vacant” and inserting in place thereof the following:- When the office of the officer becomes vacant;

And moves to further amend the bill in clause 2 of subsection b of said section 2, by striking the second sentence and inserting in place thereof the following:- The screening committee shall be formed not later than 21 days after the notice is sent.;

And moves to further amend the bill in said section 2 by inserting in line 54, after the words “of the”, the following word:- screening;

And moves to further amend the bill in said section 2 by striking, in line 143, the word “officers” and inserting in place thereof the following word:- offices;

And moves to further amend the bill in section 3, by inserting, in line 163, after the word “2019” the following:- , not later than 10 days after the effective date of this act,;

And moves to further amend the bill in said section 3, by striking in line 165, the words” Methuen,” and inserting in place thereof the word:- Methuen;

And moves to further amend the bill in section 7, by inserting, in line 296, after the words “school department”, the following:- on or after the effective date of this act,;

And moves to further amend the bill in section 9, by inserting, in line 376, after the words “school department”, the following:- on or after the effective date of this act,.
