Text on an amendment, offered by Mr. Speliotis of Danvers, to the Senate Bill authorizing the town of Plymouth to exchange a parcel of land held for conservation purposes for a parcel of land in the town of Plymouth (Senate, No. 2085).  October 16, 2017.

By striking out all after the enacting clause and inserting in place thereof the following:–
 

“SECTION 1. (a) Notwithstanding chapter 30B of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, the town of Plymouth may transfer from the conservation commission to the board of selectmen for the purpose of conveyance the care, custody, management and control of a portion of a parcel of land located on the westerly side of Rocky Pond road which was acquired by the town for  conservation purposes by deed dated  June 5, 2000 and recorded with the Plymouth county registry of deeds in book 18639, page 141, which portion is shown as  Parcel B on a plan entitled “Plan of Land in Plymouth, Massachusetts Prepared for Roy F. Jr. & Margaret W. Geiger #107 Rocky Pond Road” dated April 21, 2017, prepared by Flaherty & Stefani, Inc.. The town of Plymouth, acting by and through its board of selectmen, may convey said property to Roy F. Geiger, Jr. and Margaret W. Geiger. 

(b) As consideration for the conveyance authorized in subsection (a), the town of Plymouth shall acquire a portion of a parcel of land located on the westerly side of Rocky Pond road, shown as Lot 6-22 on assessors’ map 91 which was acquired by Roy F. Geiger, Jr. and Margaret W. Geiger by deed dated  August 22, 1972 and recorded with the Plymouth county registry of deeds in book 3821, page 764, which portion is shown as Parcel A on the plan referenced in subsection (a),  for conservation purposes to be held under the care and control of the conservation commission of said town.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.”.
