Ms. Jehlen moves to amend the amendment by striking out the sentence beginning in line 111 and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:-

“An English learner shall receive English language development instruction at a level and frequency that is appropriate for the English learner’s level of English language proficiency and educational needs and shall be instructed by teachers who hold the appropriate license issued by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.”; and

by striking out the sentence beginning in line 242 and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:-

“Teachers and administrators assigned to a language acquisition program shall hold the appropriate licenses issued by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.”.
