Veterans Access to Healthcare

Mr. Rush move to amend the bill by adding at the end thereof the following new section:-

SECTION XXX.   Section 117 of Chapter 127 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting the following paragraph:- Any prisoner who requires a medical examination to determine their eligibility for Veterans Affairs disability compensation shall be provided such examination within the correctional facility or shall receive transportation through the Department for such examination, provided; however, such transportation shall not interfere with the safety of the correctional facility or infringe on public safety.
