Amendment #25 to S2509

Gold Star License Plates

Representatives Jones of North Reading, Hill of Ipswich, Poirier of North Attleborough, Gifford of Wareham, Frost of Auburn and Smola of Warren move to amend the bill by adding the following sections:-

“SECTION X. Section 2 of chapter 90 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “vehicle”, in line 507, the following words:- or to the registrant of a motor vehicle that is owned by a partnership, trust or corporation if the motor vehicle otherwise meets the criteria of a private passenger vehicle and there is no distinctive promotional or advertisement marking visible on the motor vehicle.

SECTION X. Said section 2 of said chapter 90, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by inserting after the word “person”, in line 512, the following words:- or for 1 motor vehicle that is owned by a partnership, trust or corporation if the motor vehicle otherwise meets the criteria of a private passenger vehicle, there is no distinctive promotional or advertisement marking visible on the motor vehicle and the motor vehicle is principally used by that person.

SECTION X. Said section 2 of said chapter 90, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by inserting after the word “person”, in line 517, the following words:- or for 1 motor vehicle that is owned by a partnership, trust or corporation if the motor vehicle otherwise meets the criteria of a private passenger vehicle, there is no distinctive promotional or advertisement marking visible on the motor vehicle and the motor vehicle is principally used by that person.

SECTION X. Said section 2 of said chapter 90, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by inserting after the word “vehicle”, in line 521, the following words:- or a motor vehicle that is owned by a partnership, trust or corporation if the motor vehicle otherwise meets the criteria of a private passenger vehicle and there is no distinctive promotional or advertisement marking visible on the motor vehicle.”.
