Amendment #39 to S2509

Disabled Veterans License Plates

Mr. Arciero of Westford moves to amend the bill by adding the following new Section:-

"SECTION X. Notwithstanding any special or general law, rule or regulation to the contrary, any Massachusetts veteran, as defined in clause 43 of section 7 of chapter 4 of the general laws, will be eligible for a Disabled Veterans license plate, who is 100 percent disabled regardless of the cause or source of said disability.

In addition, veterans who qualify for the Disabled Veterans license plate will be eligible for all associated benefits of said plate, specifically those benefits related to vehicle registration fees, driver license fees, excise tax and sales tax.".
