Grant to increase access to generic medicines

Messrs. Tran and Lewis move that the proposed new text be amended provided further that not less than $50,000,000 shall be expended for the funding of the Mass Life Sciences Initiative to be provided as a grant to increase access to medicines through manufacturing initiatives that will produce generic drugs.  To qualify for the grant, the organization must be an independent nonprofit manufacturing company and meet the independent nonprofit manufacturing company exemption.
