Mr. Keenan moves to amend the bill by inserting the following new section:-

SECTION _. Said chapter 112, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by inserting after section 227 the following new section:-

Section 227A. A city or town may adopt ordinances or by-laws relative to health and safety of the practice of bodywork therapy not inconsistent with sections 227 to 235, inclusive; provided, however, that local ordinances pertaining to bodywork therapy in effect prior to July 1, 2018 and that are consistent with and that may exceed the requirements of said sections 227 to 235, inclusive, may remain in effect.
