Elimination of Parole Fees, Part 1

Messrs. Brownsberger and Barrett and Ms. Chang-Diaz moved that the proposed new text be amended by inserting, after section ___, the following new sections:-

Section ___. Section 368 of Chapter 26 of the Acts of 2003, as amended by Section 10 of Chapter 303 of the Acts of 2006, is hereby repealed.

Section ___. Section 133A of Chapter 127 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition of the General Laws, is hereby amended by inserting at the end thereof the following language:-

"In no instance shall the parole board assess any fee or surcharge upon a person granted a parole permit."
