Student Loan Debt

Messrs. Ross, deMacedo, Tarr, Humason, Eldridge and O'Connor moved that the proposed new text be amended by inserting, after section __, the following new sections:-

SECTION __. Paragraph (12) of section 3 of chapter 62 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “college” the following words:- “or an institution offering a graduate or professional degree program”.

SECTION __. Said paragraph (12) of section 3 of chapter 62, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out the words “an undergraduate student” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- “a student”.

SECTION __. Said paragraph (12) of section 3 of chapter 62, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out the word “undergraduate”.
