TAFDC Asset Limit Increase

Messrs. Lewis, deMacedo, Feeney, Welch, Timilty and O'Connor and Ms. L'Italien moved that the proposed new text be amended by inserting after section __ the following section:-

"SECTION X. Subsection (b) of said section 110 of said chapter 5, is hereby further amended by striking out the words "Subject to federal approval of a waiver, a family shall be eligible for assistance provided its maximum allowable countable resources do not exceed two thousand five hundred dollars" and inserting in place thereof the following words:- A family shall be eligible for assistance provided its maximum allowable countable resources do not exceed $5,000."
