Concrete Foundation Testing Reimbursement Program

Ms. Gobi, Messrs. Lesser, Welch and O'Connor moved that the proposed new text be amended in section 2, in item 7006-0142, by adding the following words:- “; provided further, that not less than $50,000 shall be provided for a reimbursement program, managed by the division of professional licensure, to provide for the costs associated with the implementation of testing for the presence of pyrrhotite in the foundation of homes built on or after 1983 located within the commonwealth within a 20 mile radius of J.J Mottes Concrete Company, located in Stafford Springs, Connecticut; provided further, that said reimbursements shall be made at a rate of 100 per cent  for visual testing conducted by a licensed professional engineer up to $400 and a rate of 75 per cent for the testing of two core samples up to $5,000”; and

in said section 2, in said item 7006-0142, by striking out the figure “$14,007,504” and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following figure:- “$14,057,504”.
