Regional Tourist Councils Gaming Promotion

Messrs. Lesser, Boncore, Crighton, DiDomenico and Welch moved that the proposed new text be amended in section 2, by inserting after item 7008-0900 the following item:-

"7008-1000 For assistance to regional tourist councils under section 14 of chapter 23A of the General Laws; provided that $500,000 shall be allocated from gaming revenue funds deposited into the Massachusetts Tourism Trust Fund, pursuant to subsection (b) of section 13T of chapter 23A of the general laws, to the regional tourist councils located in the  regions in which gaming establishments licensed in accordance with chapter 23K are located; and provided further that these funds shall be matched by private organizations on a three-to-one basis...................................$500,000".
