Collective Bargaining Rights of Employees of the House
Mr. Dooley of Norfolk moves to amend the order by inserting at the end thereof the following:-
“Rule XX. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, all employees of the House of Representatives shall have the right to form and organize into a union and shall benefit from collective bargaining. They shall be afforded the same rights as employees of the executive and judicial branches under chapter 150E of the General Laws; and further, shall be permitted 1 hour of paid time each month to meet with their union representative.”
